Volunteering

As proven leaders in the field, we rely on current Certified Professionals in Learning and Performance (CPLPs) for help with the ongoing development of the CPLP program. This is to ensure that the quality of the program continues to be high.  ATD CI has a number of volunteer opportunities available for 2017. Take a look at the following information for an overview of each activity and the 2016 schedule.

2017 Volunteer Activities Schedule

Item Writing and Review I

  • Virtual
  • December 2016 - January 2017

 Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for reviewing, editing, and possibly revising pre-developed exam test items.

Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following: Global Mindset, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Learning Technologies.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • Must sign a Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 10 points. 

Job Analysis

  • Virtual webinar December 16, 2016
  • 2 Day in person February 9-10, 2017 - Alexandria, VA
  • Eligible for travel reimbursement

 Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for discussing tasks for JTA survey, some homework reading and understanding tasks is involved; Meet in-person to discuss results of survey and finalize exam blueprint.

Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following: Global Mindset, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Learning Technologies.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • Must sign a Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 18 points. 

 

Item Writing and Review II

  • 3 Day in person February 11-13, 2017 - Alexandria, VA
  • Eligible for travel reimbursement

 Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for reviewing, editing, and possibly revising pre-developed exam test items.

Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following: Global Mindset, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Learning Technologies.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • Must sign a Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 21 points. 
 

Form Assembly

  • Virtual February 24-24, 2017

 Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for reviewing exam form and removing duplicate items or items the cue test takers to the keys on other items.

Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following: Global Mindset, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Learning Technologies.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • Must sign a Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 6 points. 

Item Analysis

  • Virtual Q42017 specific dates TBD

 Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for reviewing flagged items after pilot based on statistics to determine usability/accuracy.

Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following: Global Mindset, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Learning Technologies.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • Must sign a Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 4 points.

Cut Score

  • 2 Day in person Q42017 - Alexandria, VA, Specific dates TBD
  • Eligible for travel reimbursement

 Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for discussing minimum competency; participating in standard setting; recommending passing standard.

Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following: Global Mindset, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and Learning Technologies.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • Must sign a Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 14 points.
