Volunteering

As proven leaders in the field, we rely on current Certified Professionals in Learning and Performance (CPLPs) for help with the ongoing development of the CPLP program. This is to ensure that the quality of the program continues to be high.  ATD CI has a number of volunteer opportunities available for 2016. Take a look at the following information for an overview of each activity and the 2016 schedule.

To apply you must:

  1. Complete the online 2016 Volunteer Opportunities Application
  2. Complete the online Content Expertise Survey.

Types of Volunteer Activities


Item Writing

   Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for developing exam test items.

   Format:

  • On-site or remote activities.
   Participation Requirements:
  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in Global mindset and at least six Areas of Expertise (AOE specific expertise maybe required).

  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule. 

  • On-site event requirements include: multi-day commitment, eight-hour workdays, and may require weekend participation.

  • Must sign an Item Writing Nondisclosure agreement.

  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

Eligible Recertification Points:
  • Earn up to 12 points. 

Item Review and/or Exam Review

    Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for reviewing, editing, and possibly revising pre-developed exam test items.

    Format:

  • On-site or remote activities.

    Participation Requirements:

  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in Global Mindset and at least six Areas of Expertise (AOE specific expertise maybe required).
  • Must be able to commit to the entire schedule.
  • On-site event requirements include: multi-day commitment, eight-hour workdays, and may require weekend participation. 
  • Must sign an Item Review Nondisclosure agreement and/or an Exam Review Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 6 points. 

Cut Score

    Description:

  • Volunteers are responsible for helping to develop the cut score for new and updated exams.

    Format:

  • On-site.
    Participation Requirements:
  • Must have intermediate- or expert-level knowledge and expertise in at least in Global Mindset and at least six Areas of Expertise (AOE specific expertise maybe required).
  • Must travel to Alexandria, VA.
  • Must commit to the entire schedule (multi-day commitment, eight-hour workdays, and may require weekend participation).
  • Must sign a Cut Score Nondisclosure agreement.
  • Other requirements may apply as dictated by the task.

    Eligible Recertification Points:

  • Earn up to 10 points.
