Dear Human Capital Community of Practice member,

As the manager of the Human Capital Community of Practice, I am honored to serve you as the eyes and ears for our community. My role is to provide content, resources, and tools that will benefit you in your work as a training professional focused on human capital. My goal is to make this community a place you seek for insight, ideas, and best practices from our field’s most prominent thought leaders and high-performing organizations in areas such as coaching and mentoring, integrated talent management, leadership development, and organizational change.

I aim to develop community engagement through the use of the social and collaborative tools at our community’s fingertips. Twitter is one of these tools. Are you a follower? If not, I encourage you to follow @atdhumancap, and participate in the conversation. The Human Capital Blog is another platform ripe for active discussion. Visit the blog daily, and expect links to breaking research from leading industry and academic sources, as well as regular articles from a variety of guest bloggers. I urge you not only to read the blog, but to share your thoughts—and encourage your peers and co-workers to join the discussion, too. 

This community is for practitioners, and it is supported by practitioners. There are several ways you can contribute to the body of knowledge and share your expertise with your peers. Do you have insight in a particular aspect of leadership development? Have you developed best practices for coaching and mentoring within your organization? Did you launch a successful talent management program or organizational change initiative? Are you interested in sharing your story with fellow practitioners?
