What do CEOs really think about human capital? And what do they say are the related strategies to compete and win in today's interconnected, global, and VUCA economy? Hear the highlights of the 2014 The Conference Board CEO Challenge® survey. For more than a dozen years, the Conference Board has asked CEOs to weigh in on the issues that will be uppermost on their minds in the coming year. In 2013, CEOs took a hard look at their own organizations, their leaders, their employees, their customers, their levels of efficiency, and their skills to plot a winning course in a challenging environment. Their number one challenge globally was human capital—greater than government regulation, geopolitical risk, innovation, operational excellence, or a host of important challenges they could have selected. Respondents were less concerned about external factors in the business environment. Instead they were focused on people-driven strategies to counter slow market and economic growth and improve performance. Join the speaker as she describes the results of the CEO Challenge 2014 and the implications for human capital practitioners.
