Program Overview

Rapid e-learning development tools become powerful content transformation instruments in the hands of skilled learning and development professionals. Learn the basics of creating self-paced training programs with Articulate Studio in this engaging, hands-on workshop.  After completing the three 90-minute live sessions, you will be able to create self-paced e-learning programs that incorporate branched scenarios, audio, and video, while integrating learner activities and quizzes seamlessly. These programs can also be delivered in a variety of environments, including Learning Management Systems (LMS).

The instructional concepts covered and materials provided will enable you to build the skills necessary for content adaptation and program design. The facilitator will work with you to provide guidance and coaching, and help you understand how to apply the content you learn to your own training environments.

What to Expect:  

  • Interactive Format:  During these online workshops, you will collaborate in “real time” with your facilitator and classmates via interactive group discussions, polls, chats, and whiteboards.
  • Technical Requirements:  Before you join the first session, download the trial version of Studio and make sure everything is functioning correctly. This may require working with Articulate's tech support or your company's tech support.  Verify your system meets Articulate’s requirements for Studio software at  Next, ensure proficiency with PowerPoint (i.e., creating animations, adding hyperlinks, using slide masters, using drawing tools, adding and formatting text, working with images, etc.).  

This program is conducted in the WebEx Training Center platform. Special software is not required. You only need a standard web browser and telephone or VoIP capability to participate.

  • Describe each component of Articulate Studio (Presenter, Engage, QuizMaker, and Replay) and its function.
  • Choose and modify player templates (change colors, add logos, label texts, tab texts, etc.).
  • Incorporate audio and video (including syncing your audio with animations, recording narration, and editing audio).
  • Integrate interactions and quizzes.
  • Create a branched scenario using Presenter or Quizmaker.
  • Publish a program.
  • Identify sources for technical help, design ideas, and free resources.
