Program Overview

Program Overview

Gain insight into how to build an employment brand that appeals to the Gen Y workforce and boosts the quality of applicants you receive, especially for hard-to-find tech talent. In this practical and interactive program you’ll learn how to manage your recruiting process to attract Gen Y applicants over the competition. Discover how to revamp your strategy to include the learning methods most valued by Gen Y talent. The average tenure of a millennial is two years—adopt techniques that retain young talent for longer.

This workshop is based on the results of a 14-month study that focused on what drives Gen Y workers to change jobs. The use of case studies, tools, planning templates, and group problem solving will deepen your learning and help you find solutions to Gen Y challenges. Bring your organization’s recruiting, talent management, career development, and retention problems with you, and apply your findings to your organization’s issues. Leave with a robust plan to transform your organization into a place young workers will clamor to apply!

Why You Should Attend:
  • Learn how to evaluate your organization’s methods for developing Millenials.
  • Discover the components of an integrated career development strategy for Millenials at your organization.
  • Identify leadership practices that are most effective for engaging and retaining Gen Y talent
What to Expect:
  • Interactive Format: During this online workshop, you will collaborate in “real time” with your facilitator and classmates via interactive group discussions, polls, chats, and whiteboards.
  • Technical Requirements: Each session of the workshop is conducted in the WebEx Training Center platform with a toll-free teleconference or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) option for the audio component. Special software is not required. You only need a standard web browser and telephone or VoIP capability to participate.      In addition, it is strongly recommended to use a desktop or laptop computer as using a tablet or phone severely limits your ability to fully and actively participate in the program.
