Amanda Smith
ABOUT ME

I’ve spent the last 18 years in the nonprofit sector, designing and marketing talent development programs for the adult learner to include, e-learning, virtual classroom, agile methods and traditional classroom. I’ve worked across multiple industries, including marketing, health care, commercial real-estate, foodservice, and broadcast media. With a keen philosophy on Self-Directed Learning, my specialties include instructional design, facilitation, content development, and public relations.

My career path has been challenging, rewarding, and energizing to say the least. I’ve had the opportunity to serve a few wonderful companies along my way: The Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS),The Association for Talent Development (ATD)The American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA),Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF).

Currently, and in my spare time, I function as past-president and spokesperson for the Alliance for Women in Media, National Capital Area Chapter (AWM-NCAC) in Washington, D.C. In this role, my mission is to connect, engage, and empower media professionals through professional development initiatives.

Looking forward to connecting with professionals who are just as crazy about Learning and Development as I am!

Cheers,

Amanda
