Al Ringleb
ABOUT ME
Al H. Ringleb, JD, PhD, is executive director and founder of CIMBA, the Consortium Institute of Management and Business Analysis, located in Asolo, Italy. The Consortium is an organization of some 40 major U.S. universities, led by the University of Iowa, and committed to developing global leadership competencies in its various student and executive groups. He is also a faculty member at the University of Iowa. Al has a unique blend of experience in both business and academia. Having taught students in a variety of business programs, he then had the opportunity to observe the challenges too many faced in transitioning to management and leadership roles as he hired them into the various companies he either created or managed. Their frustration encouraged him to explore more efficient and productive approaches to training and developing manager/leaders. His explorative journey brought him to neuroscience and an understanding and appreciation of the important impact such a "hard science" could have on personal and leadership development. Al received his JD from the University of Kansas and PhD from Kansas State University. Prior to joining the faculty at Iowa, he spent several years at Texas A&M, Clemson, and Kansas Universities where he received numerous grants and awards. In 1985, he created CIMBA, which provided a highly creative outlet to continuously explore learning and development.
