When ASTD published The New Social Learning almost two years ago the intent was to bring attention to the emerging trend we were seeing in organizations' use of social media tools to enhance learning in their organizations. At the time the book was written "social learning" was a relatively new term that many did not understand.

Fast forward to 2012 and "social learning" is used robustly in the L&D profession. And people are still finding the information - and case studies - contained in The New Social Learning  to be valuable and worth talking about.

Case in point is this recent post on the Education, Technology & Business blog written by a professor at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
