“Un-conference” event explores collaboration and learning to create stronger government.

Building a stronger government through innovation in learning is the focus of the 2013 Government Workforce: Learning Innovations Conference, presented by ASTD and The Public Manager. The event will be held September 25, 2013 in Washington, D.C., and registration is now open.

The innovative “un-conference” model is designed to provide best practices and practical tools for next generation workplace learning. It will showcase how agencies can meet their strategic mission outcomes by harnessing the power of collaboration and innovation.

Conference speakers represent a broad cross-section of government agencies and include government thought leaders like Ben Ficks, Chief Learning Officer (CLO), U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Karlease Kelly, Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture; Sandra Wells, CLO, U.S. Department of Interior; and Kathryn Medina, Executive Director, Chief Human Capital Officers Council, OPM, among many others. The conference is designed for those who have a role in learning and development within their agency.

Attendees and government leaders will explore
