International Presence at ASTD 2014: Global Perspectives

The Global HRD Community of Practice is excited about welcoming participants from around the world to our hometown in Washington, D.C.! With more than 2,000 international attendees and over 50 international guest speakers, this makes for one of the most diverse conferences dedicated to training and development professionals. There’s no better way to connect with like-minded individuals with shared interest from all over the world than to attend ASTD 2014 International Conference & Exposition!
Global HRD is one of nine content tracks at ASTD 2014, covering topics such as globalization, global benchmarking, global talent development, and cultural diversity. Don’t forget to check out all the sessions available in the Global HRD track and plan your busy schedules accordingly! Meanwhile, here are a few Education sessions you might be interested in:

In addition to having speakers present in the Global HRD track, there’s also Global Voice, which supports the conference them, Global Perspectives. Global Voice brings together international leaders from over 20 countries to present on a number of different topics in the training and development industry. International speakers will bring together their knowledge from around the world to share best practices and experiences. This is just one more thing that makes this conference unique, so don’t forget to check it out!

Outside of the preconference workshops and Education sessions, there are plenty of other ways to interact and exchange ideas with others. Whether it’s reuniting with old friends and colleagues at the Global Village, or networking and enjoying refreshments at the International Reception, just make sure you’re having fun! About the Author

Nan Kim is the international coordinator for the Association for Talent Development (ATD), the world's largest association dedicated to to those who develop talent in organizations. She supports the International department by facilitating the exchange of knowledge among the global learning and development community. She also helps manage the Global HRD Community of Practice, where she supports professionals around the world to share regional best practices, conduct global benchmarking, and discuss cross-cultural and global talent development issues. Nan graduated from The University of North Carolina with a BA in sociology.
