New ASTD Handbook Debuts in May at ASTD 2014

ASTD, the world’s largest training and development association, will release the ASTD Handbook: The Definitive Reference for Training & Development, 2nd Edition at the ASTD 2014 International Conference & Exposition in Washington, D.C. on May 4. 

“This is the most comprehensive, authoritative reference ever assembled for the profession,” says ASTD’s President and CEO, Tony Bingham. Edited by Elaine Biech, a leading authority and expert in the training field, the Handbook is a must-have resource for every trainer.

The second edition Handbook offers multiple perspectives on the field’s core competencies and key areas of expertise. Trainers of all levels and industries will appreciate the depth and breadth of content: 96 experts and renowned thought leaders share their knowledge and insights in 55 chapters.

Upon publication, ASTD will release the more than 70 worksheets, checklists, and job aids referenced in the book via the Handbook webpage at www.astdhandbook.org.These tools will enable readers to put their learning to work immediately.
