scholarship programHealthcare Management and Administration is a growing field that employs more individuals each year. Indeed, the healthcare industry is growing at an exponential rate, and all positions are in demand from employers. From nurses to health practitioners and everything in between, there are jobs that need to be filled. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, this industry will likely see growth of 23 percent (or more) over the next few years. With a median salary of $88,580 annually, more and more people are becoming interested in this career path. And none is more needed than healthcare administrators.

For those looking to advance their education—and careers—College Choice has published its annual ranking of best bachelor's degrees in healthcare administration. According to Robert Hand, associate editor of the ranking, the benefits of this degree are endless—with a degree in healthcare administration or management, a graduate can move into various positions, such as working as chief nursing officers, heads of strategic planning departments, senior healthcare administrators, and more.

But if a professional is already working in the field and simply cannot interrupt their career to go back to school, what can be done? Online degrees are the most obvious answers.  "With the flexible schedule and the ability to go to class wherever there's an internet connection, it has never been a better time to start thinking about moving up to an administrative role," says Christian Amondson, managing editor of College Choice.

This is a list of the top 50 universities and colleges offering bachelor’s degrees in health care management and administration. All offer the degrees mostly or completely online. University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, tops the list, followed by Dallas Baptist University and Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Other ranked schools include (alphabetically ordered):
