Hi, I’m Cami Best-Jones, manager for ASTD’s Higher Education community of practice.

ASTD’s higher education community is one in which students, faculty, and education leaders in human resource development-related programs collaborate with learning professionals to develop a stronger workforce.

Whether you’re a student, professor, dean, or education leader, I think you’ll find some relevant resources here in the Higher Education community. As a faculty member, you may connect with other community members or find relevant content that can be applied in your classroom. As a student, perhaps you’re interested in ASTD research or connecting with professionals in the learning and development industry.

As you explore our community page, you’ll see some of the content and services we’ve identified to meet your needs. I’m always looking for ideas, articles, books, videos and more, so I invite you to contact me and share what you know.

I’m looking forward to connecting – and building this community with you!

Meet me in Denver this May!
I also invite you to join me in person at ASTD’s 2012 International Conference May 6-9 in Denver, Colorado. The faculty forum and lunch events held on Monday, May 7, are great opportunities for education leaders and faculty to connect with each other.

If you are a student, you’re invited to attend the conference at a steep discount and take advantage of special networking opportunities throughout the conference. Tuesday, May 8, is Student Day, so I’ve reserved special seating for you at the General Session and invite you to attend a mid-day learning session and networking lunch.

More details about these events for faculty and students can be found on the ASTD 2012 Conference website.
