Creativeship

Monday, April 8, 2013

Creativeship (creative leadership), defined as the necessity to create a sustainable culture and business model that can compete in today's workplace, is a trending term coined by author and business consultant Bob Kelleher.

For organizations to achieve long-term success in the midst of continuous technological advances, growing globalization, shifting economic drivers, changing workforce demographics, and increasing corporate social responsibility, they need to align their strategies and resources with this new approach.

Purpose, engagement, performance, innovation, branding through social media, and global growth are the six interdependent business pillars of creativeship, a comprehensive perspective required for 21st century influencers.

As Kelleher explains, organizational and people leadership has evolved from management to leadership, and now creativeship: "Management was all about managing things, data, and process while leadership was about leading people and making money. Now creativeship provides a road map to a new paradigm organizations of all sizes and specialties can and must evolve toward in order to thrive and, perhaps, even survive."
