Technology helps instructors deliver training to geographically dispersed employees.

Today, an instructor in New York can ask a question and decide whether she wants to call on a learner in London, Tokyo, or Mexico City. Many remote instructors and students now interact in real time thanks to the widespread adoption of virtual classroom environments. Instructors also may have the ability to separate learners into breakout sessions, administer polls and quizzes, and send private messages.
