A new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report has found that data on special government employees (SGEs) aren't always reliable. These 40,424 employees are brought into agencies to perform temporary duties for no more than 130 days in a year. While four of five surveyed agencies had reliable data, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had challenges.
