Recruiting and Retaining Employees With Disabilities

Efforts by federal agencies to employ more people with disabilities are paying off.

A recent report from the Office of Personnel Management shows that the federal government has taken concrete steps to hire more employees with disabilities. In fact, since fiscal year 2010, the percentage of nonseasonal full-time career employees with disabilities, 30 percent or more of whom are veterans, has improved by more than 4 percent.
