Empowering Employees Through Advancement Plans

Sunday, March 19, 2017

Simply put, if employees like what they do, they’ll stay. This is why employee experience is what will make or break an organization’s retention rate. However, providing a top-notch employee experience isn’t an easy task. There are numerous factors to consider, but one of the best ways to ensure an employee experience strategy is successful is by making it as personal as possible. Employees want to feel appreciated and know they have an employer who respects how they would like to be treated. Paint-by-numbers experience strategies rarely work. At best employees ignore it, and at worst they’ll feel resentful of it. Personalization goes beyond wellness programs and free coffee. One way to personalize these programs is by offering a talent mobility program. A great way to encourage staff is by getting them to invest in their professional growth. Talent mobility programs empower employees with clear, documented processes that will help them advance in their company. When employees are given the opportunity to grow personally, hone their professional skills, and advance through the ranks, they are more likely to stay.
