The ATD Master designation validates the knowledge and skills you have acquired. What better way to showcase your expertise and accomplishments than with a digital badge?

Now you can quickly and easily share verified proof of your ATD Master designation across a variety of platforms however you choose. The Association for Talent Development Credentialing Institute has partnered with Acclaim to provide you with a digital badge that proudly displays your professional qualifications and achievements.

What Is a Digital Badge?

Digital badges are images linked to verifiable details about a designation or certification that can be used in email signatures, personal websites, social media sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter, and on electronic copies of resumes. Digital badges help ATD Master Program alumni convey to employers, potential employers, and interested parties that they have the critical skills in the talent development profession required to earn and maintain an ATD Master designation. ATD Master Programs are assessment-based programs that enable participants to assess their knowledge, improve their skills, and prove their ability in key capability areas associated with developing employees in the workplace.

Your badge provides digital verification of the skills you have acquired through the process of earning the designation. It allows you to easily show your colleagues, professional network, and potential employers:

  • when you earned the designation, upon completion of all required program components, and when it expires
  • what key skills are associated with the assessment-based program
  • what it takes to qualify for the assessment-based program
  • the work you do to actively maintain the assessment-based program.

Claim your badge today and share on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, in an email signature, or embed it in a website.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a digital badge?
Digital badge refers specifically to badges that adhere to an open standard being led by the Mozilla Foundation for recognizing and validating learning. They are secure, web-enabled credentials that contain real-time verifiable information employers can use to evaluate an individual's qualifications.
What is the difference between my ATD Master ™ designation and an ATD CI digital badge?
Your ATD Master ™ designation is earned only after successfully completing the ATD Master ™ program. Digital badges are a web-enabled, digital representation of that designation, enriched with a standardized set of meta data that verify your achievement. You would be granted the digital badge after completion of the designation.
How does my ATD Master ™ designation get displayed as a badge?
We have partnered with Credly to translate the knowledge and skills you’ve demonstrated into a badge, issued and managed through the company’s Acclaim platform. The technology Credly uses on its Acclaim platform is based on the Open Badge Standards maintained by IMS Global. This enables you to manage, share, and verify your competencies digitally.
What are the benefits of a badge?
Representing your skills as a badge gives you a way to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted, and can be easily verified in real time. Badges provide employers and peers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your designation and what you’re now capable of.
Who is Credly?
Credly is the end-to-end solution for issuing and managing digital credentials. Credly works with credible organizations to provide digital credentials to individuals, worldwide.
How will I know if I’ve earned a badge?
Badges will be awarded upon successful completion of the ATD Master ™ designations. ATD will issue badges every two weeks for participants who completed the program during that two weeks. If you need immediate proof of program completion, you may access your course certificate immediately after you complete all program requirements. Likewise, when your designation expires, if you do not recertify, your badge will reflect that you are no longer certified.
Why is (ATD) Master Trainer ™ the only program that gets a digital badge?
ATD Master Trainer ™ is the first ATD Master Program ™ to be redesigned to align with the new ATD Capability Model. As programs are updated to align closely with this model, we will launch badges to align with those programs as well. ATD expects to launch Master Program badges for all programs by the end of 2021. If you are currently, or plan to take a Master Program, before the digital badge is officially launched, you will get an invite to receive a badge as a previous ATD Master ™.
Why I have not received emails?
You will receive an email notification from the Acclaim platform ([email protected]) with instructions for claiming your badge and setting up your account shortly after you have been notified of your successful certification.

Emails for the digital badging program will come from Acclaim's [email protected] address. Please authorize this email address to ensure smooth delivery of necessary setup and account notices.
What if I don’t want my badge to be public?
You can easily configure your privacy settings in the Acclaim platform. You’re in complete control of your personal information. You can also choose not to claim your badge at all.
Why must I approve social media sites to post on by behalf?
The user (you) must give permission for the bridge between the social media site and Acclaim to exist, but at no time will Acclaim post without an action being initiated by the user. Any activity taken on a user's behalf must first be initiated by them, otherwise the social platform will turn off Acclaim's access. Acclaim will never do anything beyond post a badge for a user (after it is requested), but social media sites only provide these standard permission screens and do not allow specific actions to be omitted.

If you are still not comfortable establishing this link, we certainly understand. You can still share your badge and accomplishment by using the public URL and posting right into your social media account as a status update or tweet.
Is there a fee to use Credly’s Acclaim platform?
No. This is a service we provide to you, at no cost.
What’s to keep someone else from copying my badge and using it?
While badges are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on Credly’s Acclaim platform. This link to verified data makes them more reliable and secure than a paper-based certificate. It also eliminates the possibility of anyone claiming your credential and your associated identity.
Where and how can I share my badge through Credly’s Acclaim platform?
You can share your badge directly from the Acclaim platform to LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Facebook; over email; or embedded in a website, digital resume, or in your email signature.
Who do I contact if there is a problem with my badge?
If your question relates to the status of your designation, please contact [email protected] If your question relates to the Acclaim website, please contact Acclaim support ( http://support.youracclaim.com).
Why doesn’t my badge issue date match the date I completed my ATD Master ™ program?
Master badges for participants who completed the ATD Master™ Program before badges launched were issued a badge at the same time with no expiration date. Master badges for participants that complete the new ATD Master ™ program that aligns with the new Talent Development Capability Model are issued every two weeks after completion is verified by the ATD Master Concierge.

If you need to show the date you completed a program, you can review that date and print your certificate on the ATD Learning Portal.
