Most Valuable Thing You’ve Gained or Experienced During Your Membership With ATD?
I have been able to connect with a network of highly enthusiastic, professional colleagues who share the same passions as I do about training, development, and performance improvement. Because of ATD, I have connected with famous authors in our industry and had the opportunity to share ideas and discuss challenges with industry experts. Everyone is so willing to share that it sometimes felt too good to be true. However, I have found that it is the reality of our association, and I am proud to be a part of that. Because of everyone’s willingness to share, I only felt it right to give back the best way I know how, and that is to volunteer with my local chapter. As such, last fall, I ran for a position on the board for the Research Triangle Area Chapter and was elected. I have been enjoying every minute of it!
