Congratulations to the December Chapter of the Month, New Mexico! Each year, the chapter sponsors a networking event, the Professional Alliance Mixer, with alliance organization members and university partners. The event is intended to strengthen the New Mexico talent development community and form collaborations of like-minded professionals with the goal of a better-developed workforce that has a direct effect on the economic development of central New Mexico. A local restaurant donates the venue, and one or two members from each alliance organization works with the chapter to assist with coordination, marketing, and planning of the event. The mixer has increased chapter membership (with up to five members joining after each event) as well as publicity for the chapter. Any profit generated from the event is split between the professional organizations.
