Global Development Days at Hilton Worldwide

Wednesday, February 3, 2016

The Challenge: Leaders would like to see more engagement with personal development plans (PDP), but team members believe they do not have sufficient time to fulfill their PDP.

The Goal: To engage all team members in learning and development and designate time for them to focus on completing their PDPs throughout the year as part of continuous learning culture.

The Solution: Global Development Days, a program or process that designates specific weeks for learning and development throughout the year. Team members block their calendars for a total of eight hours within a designated week to focus solely on learning and development based on their PDP. All of the interactions are captured and collaboration was conducted using SAP Jam.

The Benefits: Team members are functioning at a higher productivity level, achieving strategic goals, and engaging in peer-to-peer sharing.
