This image appeared in the March 1986 issue of Training and Development Journal. Games are an effective teaching tool and often times, are very engaging for the participants.

A well-designed learning game achieves its educational purpose, whether it is to recall information, practice skills, or apply learning in strategy-making situations. Most of the games today are simulations, but board games can still serve a purpose.
