This image appeared in the September 1967 issue of Training and Development Journal. How many of you remember the days of film reels and videotapes. It wasn't that long ago when we were taping things off of television using VCR tapes. Now everything is digitized and can be recorded the a DVR.
A lot of the training that was being videotaped in the 1960s is now being created as a simulation as part of a virtual training session. Instead of watching someone perform an action on a video, many trainees can go through the motions using a simulation of the action. They can make mistakes safely and re-do actions until they are familiar with the process.
