Why wait for your future when you can start finding it today?
Mahatma Gandhi is credited with saying, “The future depends on what you do today.”
What will you do today to move toward more fully living an authentic life and achieving your goals?
One step is to visit the ATD Career Center, sponsored by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and located in Hall B1. The Career Center has a packed lineup of events on subjects such as honing your personal brand, targeting your resume for the position you desire, and enabling others to help you.
Here are a few activity highlights.
“Resume Reprogram Roundtable.” A coach for professionals in their L&D career, executives, and business leaders, Sarah Cannistra, also known as the Overnight Trainer, will lead attendees in auditing their resume during Sunday’s 12 to 1 p.m. session. Not only will participants gain expert advice from Cannistra, they’ll also get insights from their peers. If you are unable to attend Sunday’s session, Cannistra and resume coach Emma Strong will conduct 15-minute, high-level resume reviews throughout the conference. Coaching sessions. ICF-credentialed coaches are providing free, 45-minute coaching sessions throughout ATD24. Coaching is a thought-provoking process, which will inspire you to move closer to your personal and professional potential. Appointments are limited—so sign up quickly.
“Leader as Coach: The Key Coaching Conversations for Leaders of Today.” Join Gaby Álvarez-Pollack, chief learning officer of GS&L Consulting, as she addresses how leaders can facilitate problem-solving conversations to spur on employee development. Sunday, May 19 from 4 to 5 p.m.
“7 Ways to Enhance Your Personal Brand and Increase Your Happiness at Work.” William Arruda, CEO of CareerBlast.TV, shares proven ways to uncover your authentic and differentiated brand. Monday, May 20 from 10 to 11 a.m.
“5 Steps to Achieving Your Goals.” Andy Storch, author of Own Your Career, Own Your Life, will share practical tips to help you achieve your 2024 goals. Learn the importance of ownership and accountability—and how to use them. Monday, May 20 from 12 to 1 p.m.
“Helping Your Boss Help You.” Founder of the Potential Space Jonathan Yeo will explain how you can help your manager connect your needs and desires for development to their needs and desires for the whole team. Tuesday, May 21 from 10 to 11 a.m.
“Accelerating Your Career Journey: Create Your Roadmap to Consulting Success.” Is a career in consulting right for you? Elaine Biech, president of ebb associates and editor of ATD’s Handbook for Consultants, and Rita Bailey, founder of Up to Something, will help you create a personal road map to transition into a consulting career. Tuesday, May 21 from 2 to 3 p.m.
