International orientation

The International Conference & EXPO is huge and can be a bit daunting if it’s your first time as an attendee. On Sunday, May 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. in rooms 343–345, join ATD Senior Global Director Wei Wang and her team to hear about conference highlights and specific services for international attendees. They will share tips to help you get the most out of the conference.

Are you making the most of social media to learn, connect, and position yourself as a thought leader in the profession? Subscribe to the ATD YouTube channel to access videos, podcasts, and specialized playlists. In addition, use #ATD24 throughout the conference to show your colleagues and friends back home—or those who attended other sessions—what you’re learning.

Want to connect with other instructional designers, coaches, learning technologists, or facilitators? On Sunday, May 19, from 9:15 to 10 a.m., take part in community meetups, which are gatherings related to specific learning paths. See the conference app for locations and details.

Aspiring authors

Do you want to share your specialty with the greater TD community? Have you toyed with the idea of writing a book? Now is the time to learn more. Have all your questions answered regarding what makes a great book proposal, the editing and publishing process, and the benefits of publishing with an association versus strictly a commercial publisher.
