While fulfillment is in the eyes of the beholder, much can be learned from individuals who are achieving fulfillment in their lives. For the past six years, my colleagues and I at the Metrus Institute have studied success, happiness, and fulfillment—achieving not only daily happiness, but a sense of inner peace. We have learned some interesting lessons, such as success does not necessarily equate with fulfillment. But among those individuals we spoke to, there were people who were both successful and fulfilled. What were the differences?
