The article provides information regarding the urgency of upskilling the workforce in Great Britain. Most applicable for British companies are an agendas' recommendations to strengthen the employer influence on skills through the creation of a new Commission for Employment & Skills to increase employer engagement and investment in skills and to reform sector skills councils that simplify and approve vocational training. Four corporate models announced by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) that could be piloted by interested employers are also presented.
