This article presents an interview of Bill Byham, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Development Dimensions International Inc., on perils and positives of promoting younger executives. According to Byham, the reason for the induction of new managers in leadership roles is that the organizations are nurturing them for senior positions. He stressed on the need for effective training for strengthening the leadership and management skills of young managers. Byham emphasized on need for checking expertise in place of experience while recruiting and promoting young managers.
