The article reports on the issue concerning on the decreasing number of sales executives in various countries. The sales shortage in 2007 is high in the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, New Zealand, Ireland, and Peru. Likewise, skilled manual trades workers, such as electricians, carpenters, plumbers, and masons remain scarce. A survey has showed that the need for information technology staff and administrative and personal assistants in 2006 has been surpassed by the demand for accounting and finance staff and nonskilled manual labor positions.
