The article reports that more than half of the working adults in the U.S. believe that the state is unprepared to compete in the global economy. The workers are not confident enough about competitiveness. One questions the cause why these workers lack confidence. Seventy-six percent of participants in a survey said that American employers do not invest enough in training and development, and sixty-four percent have blamed the American educational system for not providing workers with the necessary skills to be prepared for the jobs of the future.
