Demanding, inflexible workplaces are negatively affecting everyone’s well-being. Women have an especially hard time because they have to add household and caregiving responsibilities to their list. After surveying and interviewing hundreds of women, Beth Cabrera has come to the conclusion that they should stop trying to find balance and focus instead on increasing their well-being. Her book, Beyond Happy: Women, Work, and Well-Being, offers strategies for experiencing greater joy and meaning in life so that women can thrive despite the challenges they face. At the end of this webcast, attendees will be able to: -Describe the two key dimensions of well-being. -Explain the benefits of pursuing well-being. -List strategies for experiencing more positive emotions. -Name steps they can take to increase their sense of meaning in life.
