Keeping Pace With Rapid Change Using Virtual Classroom Training

Many organizations in today's global marketplace have a globally dispersed workforce and a rapidly changing business environment. Gathering staff together in one location for training puts pressure on an already busy workforce. Since many knowledge workers are also mobile and tech savvy, moving training to the virtual classroom is a logical solution. In this session, learn how the regional learning team for one global organization has successfully converted several training programs from traditional classroom to virtual classroom. To convert training programs and develop new programs efficiently, the speaker developed a four-step model--- the PREP model---that provides a framework that can be used for both operational training and soft skills training. The session will cover key aspects of learning a virtual classroom platform, selecting a facilitation team, and planning content and logistics.
