If modern technology is so groovy, why do so many webinars put people to sleep faster than 'The Monotone Silence' Symphony? It's because instructors often neglect their participants' learning needs. In a webinar situation, visual cues are reduced and activities are much more critical to ensuring retention. Research shows that people remember best when they see or hear a principle first and then have it repeated as the last thing in a session. So you need to start strong and end strong --- with intentional and effective openers and closers. And throughout the webinar, to improve retention, you need to include revisiters, and to ensure engagement, you need to offer energizers. In this session, the speaker models activities and principles that convey content through a webinar format while keeping learners engaged, no matter the size of the audience. You'll get to the CORE of webinars with super closers, openers, revisiters, and energizers. This session was recorded at the ATD 2018 TechKnowledge conference in San Jose, California.
