November 19, 2020 | 3:00 p.m.

ATD will offer a few select in-person courses in November/December 2020. We are committed to providing an environment that follows recommendations for health protocols, helping learners focus on getting the most out of the ATD Education experience.

Here’s what you can expect if you choose to return to the in-person classroom:

  • An ATD team member will greet you upon arrival to the course and provide your packaged materials and resources for the day.
  • Your course facilitator will always wear a face covering and maintain appropriate physical distance.
  • Learners will be spaced 6 feet apart and seated at opposite ends of each table.
  • There will be up to eight (8) learners per classroom, plus one (1) facilitator.
  • Cleaner for each personal learning space and hand sanitizer will be available.
  • Restrooms will be near the classroom.

As a participant in our course, we ask that you:

  • Review and sign the Participant Agreement that you will find in the Learning Portal for your program
  • Complete the Health Screening each day of the program.
  • While in the ATD building always wear a face covering, except when consuming a beverage.
  • Adhere to the physical distancing requirements of the ATD Learning Center.
  • Clean your own space regularly by using the cleaner provided.
  • Wash your hands regularly and use the hand sanitizer provided.
  • Follow all instructions from your facilitator and ATD team member.
  • Respect your fellow learners’ comfort and privacy.
  • Please stay on the floor of the ATD Learning Center, except during meal breaks.

Most of all, we want you to engage fully in the course content!

Even in unique times, learning never stops whether we’re connecting with each other online or in person. Development is the heart of our work.
When you’re ready to see us in person, we’re ready and equipped to welcome you back.

An application is underway for the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) Star Accreditation for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention to minimize risks associated with infectious agents in facilities.

Participants in all ATD courses, events, and meetings are required follow our Code of Conduct.

ATD is fortunate to have a supportive and inclusive global community of professionals who look forward to learning with and from one another. We are actively monitoring the latest information on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, including reports and travel advisories from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other global public health authorities.

ATD Education courses will be held as scheduled.

We are working with our facilities to ensure hand sanitizer will be available in classrooms and other precautionary measures are being taken. While we are not in a position to recommend a specific course of action for participants’ travel, we recommend monitoring your government’s travel advisories or restrictions.

In addition to in-person courses taking place throughout the year in a variety of locations, there are hundreds of ATD Education offerings delivered in live, online virtual classrooms or self-paced programs that you can take on demand at your convenience. We encourage you to stay committed to your professional development. Browse our offerings to identify a course and delivery method that fits your needs.

If you are registered for an ATD Education course and would like to look at different dates or online offerings, please reach out to ATD via email at [email protected].
