Adults take in information from various sources every day. As learning professionals, how can we know what information is derived from actual learning experiences? By measuring learning, we are able to determine what the learner knows and demonstrates as a result of a learning experience.
Topic 2: What Are Some Commonly Used Evaluation Models?
No matter how you collect feedback, it’s important to have a structured approach to classifying and analyzing that information. The Kirkpatrick Model, the Return on Investment Model, and the Return on Expectations Approach are well-known and commonly used in learning evaluation.
Topic 3: How does the Kirkpatrick Model Measure Learning?
The Kirkpatrick Model is perhaps the most widely used approach for evaluating learning programs evaluate how learning programs affect the organization.
Topic 4: How do Other Evaluation Approaches Contribute to Measuring Learning?
The Return on Investment Model and the Return on Expectations approach can be used to evaluate the business impact of a learning program.
