Topic 1: Bloom’s Taxonomy: A Background
This topic will cover how Bloom's Taxonomy came about. You will also be introduced to each of the three domains and see how they influence learning experiences.
Topic 2: Remembering: A Foundation
This topic focuses on making Remembering the foundation of learning experiences. It also focuses on what Remembering means to learners and why it is important, in addition to providing practical examples for these types of objectives.
Topic 3: Building with Understanding
In this topic, you will delve into the Understanding level and practice differentiating between Remembering- and Understanding-level objectives.
Topic 4: Moving into Application
In this topic, you will identify the importance of ensuring learners can apply what they remember and understand from the first two levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Scenarios, questions, and expert advice will guide you through why this skill is crucial.
Topic 5: Analyzing Concepts
This topic covers how including Analyzing in your objectives and learning content affects learners' success. You'll encounter scenarios related to Analyzing and have a chance to reflect on your experiences.
Topic 6: Focusing on Evaluating
In this topic, you'll work with the fifth level of Bloom's Taxonomy, Evaluating. Through scenarios, practical activities, and expert advice, you'll develop an appreciation for when to target your objectives at the Evaluating level.
Topic 7: Emphasis on Creating
This topic covers the sixth level of Bloom's Taxonomy, Creating. Real-life scenarios, examples, and practice activities will help you uncover the importance of this final level.
