Summer is a great time to catch up on some professional development. Each year ATD publishes a number of books covering a wide variety of topics from breaking core concepts to showing you how to get on board with the latest trends. Here are three of my favorite new releases.

The New Social Learning, 2nd Edition: A great update from Tony and Marcia! The book moves far beyond covering social tools and shares real success stories of socially engaged companies and people. If you’re looking to implement a collaborative strategy in your organization, this book will show you the way. Check out a free chapter and an interview with Traci Wolbrink, co-founder of OPENPediatrics.

E-Learning Fundamentals: While e-learning is nothing new, there are always people who are just getting started with it. This book is perfect for those just getting started with e-learning as covers the entire e-learning landscape. Diane and Desiree do an amazing job of breaking concepts down and making them easy to read and understand – also the book is packed with checklists and practical tools you can start using right away. Read a free chapter.

This beautiful, full-color book is packed full of practical ideas that will have you thinking like a graphic designer. Check out two free chapters.
