Patent Office Opens Data With New Portal

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has released a beta version of its open data portal, which provides access to patent data. "Patent and trademark data offers interesting insights into U.S. business activity and, especially, the state of innovation in America," says Bill Brantley, USPTO Global Intellectual Property Academy training administrator, in a DigitalGov blog post.
