Introducing the New TD Magazine

Thursday, September 25, 2014

Tony-Bingham
In May, when we made the announcement that ASTD was changing to the Association for Talent Development (ATD), we noted that T+D, our award-winning monthly magazine, would be renamed in August. Today, you are reading the first edition of the new TD (Talent Development) magazine. In these pages you will find—as you’ve come to expect—valuable content that addresses the needs of today’s talent development professionals. The debut of TD magazine is one of several changes you are beginning to see as we transition to ATD. In July, Infoline was rebranded to TD at Work: Tips, Tools & Intelligence for Developing Talent. The writers and editors of this series of monthly publications are committed to providing in-depth, practical, how-to information that you can put to work right away.

If you follow us on social media, you noticed that in July we were communicating about changes coming to our social media channels. This month our Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter, and You-Tube accounts will reflect our new name. Please engage with us on social media if you have yet to do so. We also are building a platform that will allow collaboration and knowledge sharing on the ATD website. We will be providing more information about that in the coming months.

You are beginning to see the new ATD logo on many of our products and services. Our education courses and communities of practice are being rebranded, and our 2014 Excellence in Practice Awards program launched July 1 under the ATD banner.

A significant milestone for the new ATD is the opening of our office in Shanghai, China, later this month. The opening coincides with our China Summit, taking place in Beijing and Shanghai. This is our first office outside the United States and reflects our commitment to expanding our footprint to better serve the global community of talent development professionals. As we continue to move through our transition process, we’ll keep you updated on the changes you’re seeing and what is coming next.

Thank you—as always—for your commitment to creating a world that works better.
