Managers Need to Personalize Training

It’s a manager’s responsibility to help team members grow professionally, but many seem to think a one-size-fits-all approach will be enough. This is not the case, particularly when it comes to hiring Millennials. According to a 2016 Gallup poll, 90 percent of this cohort said they value career growth and development opportunities, but less than 40 percent felt they learned something new on the job in the past 30 days. This is a problem if an organization wants to remain competitive.
