Globally, hundreds of billions of dollars are spent every year on training. What has the return on that investment been? Unfortunately, “lackluster” is an understatement. According to a recent study, 75 percent of managers were dissatisfied with their companies’ learning and development functions, 70 percent of employees said they don’t have the mastery of the skills they need to perform their jobs, and 25 percent said that training measurably improved their performance.
