To Compete in the Talent Marketplace, Companies Must Adopt a Global Mindset

Tuesday, March 24, 2020

Attracting and retaining talented people is a constant struggle for any business, and the competition for human resources is fierce in every industry. Job seekers have the luxury of choosing among companies, and organizations are struggling to differentiate themselves with innovative perks, flexible work agreements, and other in-demand benefits. However, to set themselves apart, companies need to embrace a global mindset. The ability to hire talent from across the globe not only gives them a competitive edge, but the diversity this mindset brings is a benefit in and of itself. Additionally, by adopting this posture, companies open themselves up to a much deeper talent pool. While generations past may have felt a desire to stay in one place for years, today’s talent feels more connected to social communities than physical location. They want to live and work where they feel most aligned with their goals and values. This generational shift is expected to drive up the number of expatriates to 87.5 million by 2021. To engage with this talent pool, companies must look past their own physical borders.
