Turning Performance Management Upside Down

Instead of ranking their employees, managers at Cisco will now be asked how they will invest in members of their team. The move is an effort to disrupt traditional models of performance management. Rather than focus on employees’ shortcomings, managers will be responsible for understanding individual employees’ needs and have a stake in their success.
