Michele L. Spotts, EdD, MS, is a learning experience designer at Dartmouth Health with more than 20 years of experience in education, marketing, and communication, including 10 years focused on healthcare and medical education. She develops onboarding and annual compliance e-learning for clinical and nonclinical employees. Spotts’s expertise in user experience research, data analytics, simulation, and two-dimensional animation, combined with her deep understanding of educational theories and visual design standards, enables her to create strategic and compelling learning experiences. She holds a doctorate of education in curriculum and instruction from the University of Virginia, where her research focused on improving the user experience of an artificial intelligence-based simulation system designed to help learners practice their questioning techniques. Additionally, Spotts earned an MS in communications, media, and culture from Drexel University and studied art communications at East Carolina University and computer science at Alvernia University during her undergraduate studies.
