ATD Creates Virtual Conference to Connect, Empower, and Engage the Talent Development Community

This new learning experience includes 100 hours of content that aligns to the ATD Talent Development Capability Model.

(Alexandria, VA) April 23, 2020—In these unprecedented times, the Association for Talent Development (ATD), the world’s largest membership organization for professionals who develop talent in the workplace, has created a new virtual learning experience to support talent development (TD) professionals who play critical roles in helping organizations and employees upskill, reskill, and prepare for the future of work.

ATD Virtual Conference: Building Capabilities and Connection, which will happen June 1–5, will offer more than 100 hours of content in 11 tracks that align with ATD’s Talent Development Capability Model, from career development, evaluating impact, and global perspectives, to instructional design, leadership development, learning sciences, learning technologies, and management. This conference, which will be hosted on the Social27 platform, will bring together the global talent development community to learn, collaborate, and network while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Subject matter experts, leading thinkers, and visionaries in talent development will come together virtually discuss trends, strategies, and skills that will help TD professionals and organizations tackle the unprecedented challenges that the world is facing now and will face in the future.

An early roster of speakers include: Tacy Byham, chief executive officer of DDI; Karl Kapp, professor of instructional technology at Bloomsburg University; Ken Phillips, CEO of Phillips Associates; Cy Wakeman, president and founder of Reality-Based Leadership; Kelly Palmer, chief learning officer of Degreed; and Bruce Tulgan, founder and CEO of Rainmaker Thinking.

Live keynotes and live facilitated sessions will occur on a 24-hour cycle throughout the week to accommodate ATD’s global community. The programming will include on-demand sessions with 24-hour access and live sessions where the speaker will facilitate discussions with attendees and answer questions within the session room.

ATD conferences are known for world-class networking opportunities and the ATD Virtual Conference will provide possibilities for attendees to network in groups or individually.
