(Alexandria, VA) September 16, 2020—With the COVID-19 pandemic still creating uncertainty for businesses around the world, it is important for leaders to plan how they will address employees’ skill development and engagement. The Association for Talent Development’s second virtual conference of the year will give trainers, talent development (TD) professionals, and human resource (HR) leaders the opportunity to explore and discuss industry fundamentals and high-level concepts to stay abreast of the trends and cutting-edge best practices as they address today’s challenges and plan for the future skills of the workforce.

ATD Virtual Conference: Unleash Potential, which will take place online October 26–30, includes more than 60 hours of educational programming spanning six tracks: instructional design, training delivery and facilitation, measuring impact, technology application, organization development, and the future of work. Timely sessions on building a strong diverse and inclusive workplace culture are designed to help TD and HR leaders plan and prepare for the future workforce and workplace.

Four visionaries will keynote this five-day online event, which is sponsored by The Training Arcade.

Dr. Amy Cuddy, an expert on the behavioral science of power, presence, and prejudice and a bestselling author, focuses her work on the power of nonverbal behavior, prejudice, and stereotyping as well as the delicate balance of trustworthiness and strength. Her most recent work and writing focuses on the social forces behind bullying, bystanding, and bravery.

As founder of Up to Something, Rita Bailey specializes in unconventional methods that disrupt and challenge leaders to think differently, be open to new possibilities, and question the status quo. She served in several leadership roles for more than 25 years at Southwest Airlines and works with organizations to engage leaders in courageous conversations, strategy sessions, and immersive experiences that foster team collaboration, change, and cultural inclusiveness.

A bestselling author and one of the most popular ATD International Conference & EXPO speakers, Seth Godin will give a first-of-its-kind talk based on his new book The Practice. He is the author of 19 books that have been bestsellers around the world and translated into more than 35 languages. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership, and most of all, changing everything.

Ben Nemtin, a number 1 New York Times bestselling author and co-founder of The Buried Life movement, inspires audiences with stories of hope, selflessness, and radical possibilities. His story began more than 10 years ago when he and friends took a road trip to complete items on their bucket lists. For each item they accomplished, they helped strangers cross off something on their lists. From playing basketball with President Obama to having a beer with Prince Harry, Nemtin’s bucket list quest has inspired millions to believe that what may seem impossible is truly possible.

ATD Virtual Conference: Unleash Potential also includes daily Zoom networking roundtables and events where attendees will be able to discuss each day’s educational programming and make new connections. The final day of the conference will be a full day of smaller workshops dedicated to practical application of all the new knowledge and skills that attendees learned during the week.
