Pitney Bowes’ Rose Velez-Smith Joins the Association for Talent Development Board of Directors

(Alexandria, VA), March 2, 2018 – The Association for Talent Development (ATD) announces that Rose Velez-Smith, Global Vice President, Human Resources, Business Groups and Workforce Services at Pitney Bowes, has joined its board of directors. She is serving a three-year term, 2018-2020.

In her role at Pitney Bowes, Rose partners with the businesses to lead the development of the human capital strategies necessary to successfully execute on business objectives. She works closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic workforce solutions in the areas of employee relations, engagement and development, recruiting, talent acquisition, mergers and acquisitions, and legal and regulatory compliance.

Most recently, Rose spent more than three years leading the Global Integrated Talent Management function, where she was responsible for developing and directing talent strategies globally for the organization, including talent acquisition, learning and development, talent enablement, talent analytics, and diversity and inclusion.

Rose is active in her community having served on the board of directors for the Child Care Learning Center in Stamford, CT and as chairman of the Fairchester Board of the Networking for Teaching Entrepreneurship. She is also a member of Prospanica and has served on their corporate advisory board.

Rose has been honored by the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility “HACR” as a Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever and she received the Greenwich YWCA’s BRAVA award, which recognizes outstanding women achievers who have excelled in their professional careers and who also volunteer their time and talent to help others.

She has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and master’s degree in human resources development and counseling from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
