ABOUT ME

Emergency Manager, and Training and Development Specialist with proven experience collaborating with partners to execute department and citywide projects. Launched the new Emergency Management Learning Management System, which reaches nearly 3,000 emergency managers. Responded to over 30 local, state, and national emergencies including the 2018 Steam Main Explosion, 2017 Hurricane Maria from NYC and in Puerto Rico, 2016 Louisiana Flooding, and the 2015 Oklahoma Tornados.

I am drawn to places that push me outside my comfort zone, allow me to experience other cultures and beliefs and where I can do good. I am naturally inclined to help others and I have a constant desire to learn and improve. I am working towards the goal of coordinating national and international response to both "traditional" disasters and global humanitarian crisis.

I am people and team first with a relatively recent, but ever growing passion for mental health and overall wellbeing of the emergency management profession.
